Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child

Kids today... are different and live in a culture different than the one in which their parents grew up. Employers, teachers and parents wrestle to stay connected to this digital generation with short attention spans and a bias for action and interaction. For ten years now, sociologists have introduced us to Generation Y. They’ve been identified as the Digital Generation, Mosaics, Millennials and Techies. They’re the kids born between 1984 and 2002. Now, the next generation of students is coming up behind them: The Homelanders (children born since 2002). All students today can be described as an EPIC generation: Experiential, Participatory, Image-rich and Connected. Many adults feel like an immigrant among natives with these kids.
